My forte was hand-sewing. When I learned the intricacies of attache case making, I made a few cases that were hand-sewn around the corner edges of all the exterior panels. You had to make the leather exterior separately from the wooden armature box, then fit it all together. This meant that the fit had to be exact. "Masochistic," indeed!
